During Pregnancy
- 1Maintain good plaque control — brush twice and floss daily.
- 2Pregnancy hormones exaggerate the gum reaction to plaque. Plaque control is essential.
- 3Signs of gum inflammation include bleeding, redness, swelling, sensitivity, or pain. Contact us for treatment.
- 4After vomiting, rinse with water to neutralise stomach acid and wait at least 30 minutes before brushing.
- 5Avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) without your dentist's approval. Avoid self-medicating.
